
Sophomores will be taking the Pre-ACT tomorrow (Thursday, January 16)! This test helps determine their ability to take dual enrollment courses as a junior. It is imperative that sophomores arrive to school on time with a charged Chromebook.

Isabelle Keller, Sarah Yoakley, Alissa Mcilwain, Emory Gough, and Wyatt Ziegler all passed the Statewide Dual Credit Intro to Business course this semester and will not have to take Intro to Business in college. Congratulations to these students for earning a college credit in high school!

Announcement Concerning the Semester Exemption Policy:
If you received a semester exam exemption form from the front office & you will be exempt from a semester exam on Wednesday (12/18) &/or Thursday (12/19) of next week, you will still be counted absent if you do not attend school on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Additionally, absences from school on Monday or Tuesday of next week may cancel a student's semester exam exemption status (if those absences will result in the student having 4 or more absences in a class).

Catch OSHS Seniors Mason and Caden Friday night on ABC competing for the East Tennessee Team in the Rivalry Showcase All-Star Game with kickoff at 8pm. The game is being played at Maryville High School. Congratulations to these two seniors for being chosen to represent OSHS!


Eva Robbins was awarded the Simply Smart Grant by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union for $1500. Mrs. Robbins title for the grant was "ID-A-Tree with 3D." The money will be used to purchased a Bamboo 3D printer that will be used to create labels for our schools arboretum project. Congratulations, Mrs. Robbins!


Fall 2024 Semester Exam Schedule. Students who qualify for exemptions will be given their exemption paperwork on Thursday to be signed by their teachers and parents.


There is more testing this week at OSHS! Students need to make sure to arrive at school on time with fully charged Chromebooks. Good luck to our students!
