Mrs. Vowell's PBL created a total of 6 signs for the upcoming October Sky Festival held in Oliver Springs later this month using digital programs to design the signs and then printed them using the large format printer. The students can not wait to see their work hanging up in town to advertise for the festival!

This week is special to our Class of 2025 Volleyball and Soccer Seniors! They will be celebrating their seniors this week. Volleyball will be tonight at 6:15 and Soccer will be at halftime of their game on Thursday. GO LADY CATS!
Tomorrow is ACT day for SENIORS. Seniors need to be here and in the correct classroom by 8:15 in the morning with their school issued Chromebook fully charged!
Test Locations are by LAST NAME:
*A-G (Room 215)
*H-K & M (Room 217)
*L & O-W (Room 219)
If a student plans on leaving after the test, they must have a written parent/guardian note that the test protector will take up BEFORE the test starts.
Seniors attended the College and Career Fair this week to learn about post secondary opportunities.
The 2024 Homecoming Court Presentation scheduled for 9/27/24 has been POSTPONED. As soon as plans are in place for a rescheduled date, we will provide that information. As far as the Hall of Fame Induction and the football game are concerned, we will update tomorrow as soon as a decision has been made. Thank you for your support and understanding as none of these decisions are taken lightly on a school and county level.
Dress up Day 4 for Homecoming: Jersey Day! Students enjoyed repping their favorite teams and playing some EXCITING volleyball matches at the end of the day.

The Homecoming Ceremony and Hall of Fame Induction will now be taking place in the new gymnasium at 6:30 on Friday. We will also open up the gym to spectators to watch the game in the gym which will be streaming so fans can watch the game without being in the rain. Concessions will also be sold in the gym as well. Gate fees will still apply. We hope to see Bobcat Nation show up on Friday despite the weather to celebrate the culmination of the OSHS homecoming week.
Good luck to our award winning marching band competing this Saturday in their first competition of the season!
Unfortunately, due to the incoming inclement weather, the powderpuff game is canceled on Thursday. We are rescheduling that game for the week before fall break. However, we will be having a student volleyball tournament in the gym @ 2 on Thursday to continue the homecoming festivities.

The ACT Retake for SENIORS is next Tuesday, October 1st. All seniors need to be at school by 8:20 and report to their testing location. Testing locations TBA.
New Beta Cub Members, your $35 new member dues need to be paid by Friday. If you are going to convention, your $100 deposit also needs to be paid and your permission slip turned in to Mrs Vowell on Friday, September 27 as well. As soon as you have paid your convention deposit, you may see Mrs. Kitt to sign up for competitions. They are first come, first serve.
