About the Teacher

Thank you for visiting my web page! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I will have been married four years in September to my wonderful husband Jared. My husband and I live in Knoxville and we have two puppies named Charlie and Amos who keeps us on our toes at all times. I graduated in 2012 from East Tennessee State University. I am certified to teach grades K-6.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. My philosophy of education is centered on three basic principles: passion, collaboration, and motivation. An educator must be passionate about teaching in order to ignite within each student the desire to learn. An educator should also encourage student participation in all lessons because in order for students to truly learn, they must be allowed to participate in the teaching process. Finally, it is an educator’s job not only to teach, but to motivate so that students feel competent and capable. I will strive to stay true to these principles as I teach your child.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. Please feel free to email me at I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting experience with you and your child!
